The Egyptian actress Ayten Amer
Young Egyptian actress Ayten Amer returned to the set of new film “Ala Gosety” (Over my Dead Body) after a holiday. In \"Ala Gosety\", she plays a furniture store employee in yet another comedic role. She said she was very
happy to work with comedian Ahmed Helmy and Ghada Adel in this film which also stars Hassan Hosny and Ola Roshdy Edward. It is directed by Mohamed Bakir.
The film is due to be released in the summer, she said.
Ayten’s recent films include “30 February” a comedy co-starring Sameh Hussien, Lotfy Labib, Edward and Mazhar Abu el-Naga. The film is written by Salah el-Johiany and directed by Motaz al-Tuni.
She also took part in “Saa Wa Nos” (An Hour and a Half) with a big group of Egyptian stars including Karime Mokhatr and Sawsan Badr.
Both films were well-received by audiences, she said.
Ayten denied rumours she married presenter Amr Adeeb. She said those these spreading lies about her were trying to ruin her new-found success. “I don’t know Adeeb personally,” she said.
Her next project is “Daght Ally” (High Pressure), a comedy about a young man who discovers he has electric powers and aims to solve electricity shortages in his hometown.
The film also stars Nedal el-Shafy, Lotfy Labib, and Omar Abdel Aziz. It is written by Mohmoud Saber and directed by Abdel Aziz Hashad.
