Some actresses are presenting their first leading roles in this Ramadan season after their last year secondary roles, and “Arab Today” was able to track down these actresses.
On the top of the list is actress, Yasmin Sabry who participated last year in “The Legend” series as a secondary character, but this year she is the leading actress in Ahmed Al Saka series “The Black Horse” which will be aired on MBC Masr channel. This series is also starring Ahmed Badir, Sabri Fawaz, Mohamed Farrag, Yasmin Sabri, Chery Adel, Wahba Abdel Ghani, Mahmoud Hijazi, Mirna Nour El Din, and others.
Actress Tara Emad was chosen to be the leading actress in Mohammed Adel Emam series “Lamie the cat”, where she will play the role of Habiba. The series is a comedy that discusses many social issues, and it also starring Engi Abu Zeid, Edward, Ahmed Fathi, Suleiman Eid, Wozo, Usa Awes and Tahir Abu Laila.
Actress Dina El Sherbini is also the leading actress in the comedy series “It ended smoothly” with actor Ahmed Mekky. The series is 30 episodes divided into 2 parts, each part contains 15 episodes that tell a different story. The series events combine past and present and discuss the struggle between women and men through comedy and fantasy.
Reham Hagag is playing the leading female character with actor Amr Saad in “Security situation” series that tells the story of a simple guy named “Hassan” who gets involved with antiquities mafia and during all the problems he will face, he falls in love with a girl. They are also working with Salah Abdullah, Sherif Helmi, Hamdi Al Wazir, Nahal Anbar, Rania Mansour, Yasser Ali Maher, Ahmad Abdullah Mahmoud and Noha Salah.
Mai selim shares the leading role with Sherif Ramzy in the comedy series “Seven Jobs”, that tells different story in each episode and each episode presents a different star guest such as, Mohamed Fuad, Mona Zaki, Vivi Abdo, Hassan El-Raddad, Nelly Karim, Kinda Alloush, Sharif Salameh, Hisham Abbas, and others.
After the success of “Take it easy or leave” movie, actress Ayten Amer is presenting the leading character in “How are things” series with actor Ahmed Rizk that will be aired on DMC channel during Ramadan. The series tells the story of a male nurse named “Reda” who falls in love with a poor girl and both of them face troubles when they decide to get married because of their social circumstances. It also sheds light on corruption inside the health sector but in a comedy way. The series starring Ahmed Rizk, Aiten Amer, Samah Al-Saraiti, Tariq Al-Ibaiari, Salwa Khattab, Bayoumi Fuad, Salah Abdullah, Nahal Anbar, Ahmed Halawa, Diaa Al Mirghani, Hussam Dagher and several unknown other guests.
Actress Yusra Al Louzy is also sharing the leading role with Hamada Helal in “Jackpot” series with will be aired on Al Nahar channel, where she will plays the role of “Heidi”, a beautiful girl who graduated from Fine Art University, and she also owns a furniture company where she makes the goods by herself. Hamada Helal is a simple guy trying to earn money in a decent way, where he starts working as a car driver for “Heidi” and the two fell in love with each other. The series is also starring Sahar Al Sayegh, Hajjaj Abdul Azim, Ehab Fahmy, Hamada Barakat, Shams, Hanan Sulaiman and a large group of artists, written by Ahmed Mahmoud Abu Zeid.
