Navigation in the Suez Canal is back to normal
The head of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Mohab Mamish said on Wednesday afternoon, that the ?navigation in the international waterway is back to normal
after an accident earlier involving a locomotive.
Mamish highlighted that there was no suspicion of any foul play in the incident that did not affect navigation in the canal and that the locomotive is being recovered by SCA rescue units
Furthermore he explained that as soon as the accident happened rescue units rushed to the scene but only managed to save the lives of three crew members whilst one was killed and another is still missing.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident that happened in the early hours of Wednesday.
