Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) will hold the first Saudi Forum for Emerging Companies.
Participants will include officials and legislators specialized in achieving the goals of the National Transformation Program (NTP) 2020 and Vision 2030.
The forum will include discussions on the major obstacles and challenges facing emerging companies in the Kingdom, said Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi, UQU vice president for development and entrepreneurship.
The university’s presidents, faculty deans and officials will study ways to transform research into products that benefit the national economy.
Managers of venture capital funds will discuss the development of legislation concerning investments in emerging companies, and solutions to obstacles facing entrepreneurs in attracting investment.
Entrepreneurs and company owners will share their experiences and needs, as well as the obstacles they face.
