U.A.E. Minister of Labour, Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, has said the U.A.E. takes interest in the resolutions of the Arab Labour Organisation in line with the country's political method based on continuous cooperation with Arab action to safeguard mutual interests and achieve prosperity of Arab peoples.
Ghobash was addressing the 41st Arab Labour Conference, being held in Cairo with participation of Arab government delegations, representatives from private sector and labour organisations.
"This conference comes amid huge challenges being experienced by the Arab labour market given many changes in the region that imposed many obligations that must be dealt with on the basis of solidarity and shared responsibility dispensed by our political leadership to address aspirations of people, especially the youth who look forward to jobs and stability. Those issues require constructive dialogue among three parties of production: governments, employers and workers to achieve the logo of this conference," he added.
Ghobash said the sound strategic planning for sustainable development needs political stability so as to achieve social justice, a genuine key for addressing challenges, among others, unemployment among the youth.
He referred to the achievements attained by Egypt, notably, the Suez Canal Development Project, following the election of President Abdel Fatah al-sisi. Ghobash said the project would provide many job opportunities to Egyptians.
He welcomed the report of Ahmed Luqman, Director-General of Arab Labour Organisation on "Arab Cooperation and its Horizons to Support Employment", adding that the report analyses the reality of the Arab labour market.
Ghobash hailed the struggle of Palestinian people in the light of challenges posed by Israel, citing the difficulties faced by the Palestinian businessmen and workers.
