Emirates Islamic Bank ( EIB)
Emirates Islamic has been named Best Domestic Retail Bank at the CPI Financial Islamic Banking and Finance Awards, 2013. The award came in recognition of Emirates Islamic's overall growth and its excellent performance within the U.A.E.
banking sector. The bank received the award at a gala ceremony, recently held at Emirates Towers, Dubai, and was attended by more than 200 bankers and financiers from across the region.
Faisal Aqil, Deputy CEO, Consumer Wealth Management, Emirates Islamic, said, "We are very proud to be named Best Domestic Retail Bank and this award marks the end of an exciting year for Emirates Islamic. In 2013, we have also been recognised as Best Islamic Bank in the Middle East by World Finance Forum and Best Corporate Bank by Banker Middle East. This addition is a great reflection of the contribution we are making to the regional financial sector, and comes as further recognition of EI's transformation to become the leading Islamic bank in the U.A.E.." The CPI Financial Islamic Banking and Finance Awards celebrate the achievements of top Islamic bankers, financiers and Islamic finance and banking institutions from across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. A panel of judges made up of industry experts nominate institutions who are then voted for by readers of CPI Financial.
