The 29th session of Khartoum International Fair
Assistant to Sudan’s President Colonel Abdulrahman Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi on Wednesday praised during the opening ceremony of the 29th session of Khartoum International Fai, the role of countries
and companies that participated.
In his speech, Al-Mahdi said that Sudan is keen to attract international investments, adding that the new Investment Act would remove impediments facing national and foreign investors.
He appreciated participation of around 20 countries and 50 international companies, 250 Sudanese companies, referring to the absence of the State of South Sudan despite the invitation that was sent to participate in this session.
Al-Mahdi stressed that Sudan was keen to establish good economic relations with South Sudan and to establish an economic attaché in Juba.
Meanwhile, Sudanese Minister of Trade, Osman Omer Al-Sharif said that the investment atmosphere was favourable, pointing out to the vast resources existing in the country.
For his part, Chairman of the Sudanese Free Zones & Markets Company (SFZ) Mustafa Yousef Hawally said that Khartoum International Fair contributed in attracting different forms investments to Sudan.
