Aden Port Aden – Basim Fadl The Gulf of Aden Ports Corporation has complained that their activities have been disturbed by a strike action in Aden. Dozens of workers organised a sit-in at the Port of Aden to reclaim their unpaid wages. Some strikers told Arabstoday: "We want our wages, we need to pay for medical treatments." Workers added that they will continue the industrial action until the company meets their demands, which they describe as legitimate demands. The Yemeni government announced in June that the Gulf of Aden Ports Corporation, which used to belong to Dubai Port, had ended their contract with the Emirati company. Aden port is considered one of the biggest natural ports in the world. It was the second biggest port in the world in the 1950s. The port is naturally protected from the wind as it is located between two mountains. This allows the port to be operational throughout the year.
