Al Majaz Island Theatre
Sharjah Media Centre (SMC) has announced the selection of Live Nation Entertainment, the world's leading live entertainment and eCommerce company, as the venue management firm for the soon-to-be-completed Al Majaz Island Theatre
.
The agreement will see Live Nation take on the venue management of the Al Majaz Island Theatre for a period of three years.
Under the terms of the agreement Live Nation will develop and implement all relevant policies and procedures for operating the venue, in line with the Live Nation Entertainment group's global standard practices for venue operation.
Live Nation will also provide recommendations on all IT systems to be installed in the Venue including financial management, venue event management, customer databases, email, point-of-sale, telephone, stock control, access systems, security and sponsor programme software.
Live Nation will furthermore develop department training programmes for all venue staff to ensure the highest standards of operation.
These training programmes will be supported by Live Nation's International Venue Team specialists from other areas of the Live Nation Entertainment group's business. In addition, Ticketmaster Middle East FZ-LLC, the locally registered arm of Ticketmaster Entertainment – a subsidiary of Live Nation Entertainment, will be the exclusive provider of ticketing services for the venue. This will include providing a Venue-branded webpage for purchasing tickets, as well as a box office manager and technical manager for show days.
Live Nation will also develop and provide a 3-year show/event strategy for the venue to support show booking and ensure strategic alignment, in addition to providing support for the opening shows at the venue.
