Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi
Sharjah - Arab Today

Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi As the sixth Festival of Arab Theatre draws near, the Arab Theatre Authority (ATA) is holding a press conference on Sunday at 10 am at its general secretariat in Sharjah. The festival, whose previous editions took place in Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan and Qatar, will be held in Sharjah in January 10 to 16, 2014.
The upcoming edition of the Arab Theatre Festival will see HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and Supreme President of the ATA, deliver the Arab Theatre Day Message, which coincides with the start of the festival.
Coming 7 years after the proposal of the ATA idea, the message of HH Sheikh Sultan will be exceptionally important and serve as a guide for theatre people across the world.
During the conference, Ismail Abdullah, Secretary General of the ATA, and Dr. Yusuf Aidabi, Advisor of the ATA, will speak about the sixth Festival of Arab Theatre and what sets it apart from past editions.
The festival will include numerous artistic and intellectual activities, and given its organisers' continuous pursuit of distinction, Sharjah is set to host a distinct event on a technical and organisational level.
