The organisers of India by the Nile plan two sessions of a Bollywood dance workshop to take place at the Midan Theatre, in front of Hanager Arts Centre.
Two consecutive one-hour workshops will be lead by Gilles Chuyen, India-based French choreographer with a modern jazz and ballet background and over 20 years of working in India where he explored the country's dance culture, from Bollywood to classical forms such as Chhau Mayurbhanj, Kathak and Bharata Natyam.
According to organisers, Gilles has been teaching Bollywood dance extensively all across the world and led numerous workshops that "communicate the energy and fun that imbibes Indian cinema." Chuyen has been a permanent India by the Nile member, coming to Egypt with each edition of the festival and cooperating with a variety of previous workshop attendees.
The free-entry workshop welcomes audiences from all walks of life and generations.
Following the Cairo's workshop, Chuyen will repeat the lessons in Alexandria.
