The 12th Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, (Abu Dhabi 2014), ADIHEX, is expected to attract an extensive participation from GCC-based companies and exhibitors who will take part in the annual heritage, artistic and poetry competitions from 10th to 13th September, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
The exhibition will be held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, with the support of Cultural Programmes and Heritage Festivals Committee in Abu Dhabi and organised by the Emirates Falconer's Club and Informa Exhibitions.
Abdullah Batti Al Qubaisi, Director of ADIHEX, said that the extensive GCC participation in the upcoming exhibition demonstrates a great support for the event and reflects the deep-rooted relations among the GCC countries, adding that the big participation of large companies in the industry as well as individuals, will enrich the event and make it more attractive to tens of thousands of visitors from the region.
On their part, participating companies have praised the support received from the exhibition's organising committee, and its efforts to protect ancient sports and promote the concept of sustainable hunting, describing the event as "The most important portal to the hunting and equestrian equipment market in the region." Shabeb Al Ajmi, Director-General of KASHTA, a Kuwaiti company which sells camping equipment, said, "The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition has become an annual festival and a forum for all hunting, equestrian, camping and heritage enthusiasts." Another Kuwaiti Company, Al-Gannas, that sells hunting guns and ammunition will present a wide range of rare and distinguished hunting rifles bearing precious stones.
Other participants expected to turn up are The Saudi Wildlife Authority and the Qatari company Al Hashimia Falconry, which sell tools and accessories for falconers.
