Emirates Post has issued a greeting postcard on the theme ‘My Mother, My Paradise', which is now available for sale at all Emirates Post offices.
The design of the postcard was selected through a competition organised among the employees of Emirates Post Group, under the supervision of the Emirates Philately department.
A design submitted by Omar Abdul Khaliq Saeed, an employee from the Department of Mass Communication, was selected as the best, based on mixed media to symbolise an Emirati mother.
Ibrahim Bin Karam, Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Post Group, said, "The release of this postcard is part of the keenness of Emirates Post to highlight the importance of the role of the mother in raising families and societies and educating them."
The competition, which received a huge response, was open to all group employees of Emirates Post and entries were judged on parameters of artistic flair, clarity of idea, harmony of colours and elements, consistency and innovation.
