Dr Fawzi Tadros aims to raise the profile of Arab culture
The head of Middle Eastern Development in the American Library of Congress has said that his current visit to Sudan is in preparation for an international seminar on the late Sudanese writer, Tayeb Salih.
Dr Fawzi Tadros also revealed to Arabstoday that he has developed a valuable knowledge on Sudan and will consider the country as a future base for operations. He added that he will be working on opportunities to raise the profile of Arab culture, and is looking for coordination opportunities in the country.
“Through the visit I have learned about the efforts exerted by Sudan in promoting issues of cultural and historical importance,” said Tadros.
Dr Tadros also confirmed that the visit had been discussed with Sudanese actor, Ali Mahdi, when they met in America.
The department of Middle Eastern Development aims to work on delivering knowledge of Arab countries to America; they work to achieve this through seminars and lectures.
