Kitchen Show segment of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF)
Live cooking demonstrations by internationally renowned chefs are on the menu forthe Kitchen Show segment of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, ADIBF, whichruns at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, ADNEC, from April 30th to
May 5th,2014. The Kitchen Show will serve up different tastes of the world's cultures as the chefs, including the renowned Swedish chef, cookery author and TV celebrity, Tareq Taylor, who hails from a Swedish/English/Palestinian background, look to bridge cultures with a Sweden Meets Arabia menu. Sweden is this year's ADIBF Guest of Honour and will have a key role to play in this year's Show Kitchen programme. Every day, chefs from different regions of Sweden will share the country's traditional dishes and recipes, as well as home cooking tips, with expertnutritionists discussing healthy food. Max Bjuhr, Swedish Ambassador to the UAE and his wife, Anki Bjhur, will also take part in culinary demonstrations. Speaking in the run-up to the event, Tareq Taylor, the author of three popular cookbooks, said, "I've never been to Abu Dhabi before but I've met people from there and have always been struck by their friendliness so I'm really looking forward to meeting more of the residents and discovering the emirate," he said.
