Algerian left back Jamal Mesbah,
Torino manager Giampiero Ventura has denied that he will be signing Algerian left back Jamal Mesbah, after the defender failed to respond to Torino's offer to sign him in January.
Mesbah, who is currently playing for AC Milan, has fallen behind in
manager Massimo Allegri's pecking order. The Algerian defender has struggled to break into the Milan team and reports in Italy suggest that he is no longer an option for Allegri.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Tunisian newspapers reported that l'Esperance are willing to sign Portuguese club Academica's defender Rafiq Halich.
It is believed that l'Esperance's manager Nabil Maaloul is keen on bringing an experienced defender to the club, to improve his shaky defence, which cost them the African Champions League title. L'Esperance conceded two goals at home, against the Egyptian champions al-Ahly, who won the game 2-1.
