Tunisian Taragy football team after winning
Tunisia – Arabstoday
Tunisian Taragy football team achieved a win over its rival team Etoile Sahel on Sunday in the Tunisian el-Monazah stadium. The game was in the third round of the African championship, where Tunisian Taragy followed
Egyptian el-Ahy’s steps in achieving high scores through winning three matches to reach semi-finals. Meanwhile Sahel Etoile is in fourth position equal with Nigerian Sunshine who previously beat ASO Chlef by two goals.
The match featured serious chances for both teams despite the defenses playing cautiously. The Tunisian star player Khaled Almualhy scored the only goal in the game gifting the win to his team in the 41st minute by penalty kick.
The match witnessed Cameroonian referee Nyant Alioune raise his yellow card five times, four for Sahel Musab Sassi, Frank Com, Bilal Bin Masood, Lamjad el-Shuhody , while the 5th was for el-Taragy player Sameh el-Derbaly.
This win is the third in a row for el-Taragy after exceeding Nigerian sunshine (2-0) outside its stadium and ASO Chlef association (2-3) reaching its 9th point of top first group.
El-Taragy will meet Sahel again in Olympic Sosa stadium on August 18 in the fourth round of the competition, which will determine progression to the semi-finals, where el-Taragy will try to finish top of the group to avoid meeting the Egyptian team el-Ahly with its highly technical level of play shown in the recent championship.
On the other side, Tunisian Sahel Etoile tries to gain three points to guarantee 2nd place before meeting Nigerian Sunshine again.
