Sri Lanka's Suranga Lakmal (C) celebrates with teammates
Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by nine wickets in the second Test in Dubai on Sunday, taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Pakistan were bowled out for 359 in their second innings with paceman Suranga Lakmal taking a career-best
4-78 on the fifth and final morning, giving Sri Lanka a target of 137 to win in 80 overs.
Openers Dimuth Karunaratne (62 not out) and Kaushal Silva (58) put on 124 for the first wicket before Kumar Sangakkara (nine not out) did the job with 33.4 overs to play for Sri Lanka's biggest win over Pakistan in terms of wickets.
Nuwan Pradeep, Shaminda Eranga and Rangana Herath took two wickets apiece. Sarfraz Ahmed scored 74 after Pakistan resumed at 330-7.
The first Test ended in a draw in Abu Dhabi. The third and final Test starts in Sharjah from Thursday.
