The Algerian international centre back, Rafik Halliche
Cairo – Yousry Mohammed
The Algerian international centre back, Rafik Halliche, is set to miss the next match for his team, Academica de Coimbra, against the Portuguese giants Benfica FC in Portugal's Premeira Liga due to injury, said Academica's
boss Pedro Emanuel on Sunday.
The former Fulham FC defender was left out of the 18-player squad to face Benfica due to an injury he sustained in his right foot in the second half of Academica's match last Thursday against the Czech team, Viktoria Plzen, in the Europa League.
Halliche left the Premier League side Fulham for Academica during the latest summer transfer window seeking more time on the pitch as he was usually excluded from his former team's starting XI. The match against Viktoria Plzn was his first since he joined his new club but, unfortunately for him, he played only 49 minutes before his debut was curtailed by injury.
