Pim Verbeek
The Royal Moroccan University for Football, intends to cancel its agreement with the Dutch coach of the Olympic and national teams Pim Verbeek, according to Arabstoday.
The Dutch coach has sent indirect messages to
Qatari clubs stating he may be willing to sign a contract, alluding to the idea of ??training a \"celebrity league.\"
Arabstoday sources expect the head of the Royal Moroccan Football University, Ali Fassi Fihri, to hold a meeting with Dutch coach Verbeek. This comes after the Moroccan team\'s match against his Mozambican counterpart to qualify for the African Cup of Nations, to be held in South Africa next year.
According to the same sources, the Royal Moroccan Football University, \"will convince the Dutch coach to end the contract willingly, as the contract extends til 2014.\" This comes after \"pressure from the public and the press and fierce statements by a number of team players.\"
One of the players stated, \"the coach carries full responsibility for the exclusion of the Moroccan team from the first round of the London Olympics.\"
The Dutch coach Pim Verbeek had disagreements with the former coach assistant of the Olympic team, Hamidou al-Warkah. Al-Warka is credited with the discovery of a large number of the Moroccan team players. The coach’s brother Robert Verbeek replaced the assistant.
Pim Verbeek denied accusations and stated he is staying with the Olympic team. He said, \"I will continue my work with the Moroccan Union and nothing calls for secession. I have an important project to achieve and the contract binds me .\"until 2014
