His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today received, at the Al Bateen Palace, the Al Jazira Football Cub team after winning the Arabian Gulf League Championship for the 2016/2017 season.
The team was received by His Highness with the attendance of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Honorary Chairman of the Al Jazira Sports Club, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Al Jazira Sports Club, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Al Jazira Football Company.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan exchanged greetings and blessings for the Holy Month of Ramadan with the players and the administrative and technical bodies of the Al Jazira Club, while praying to Allah Almighty to grant the UAE, on this Holy Month, with greater advancement, development, goodness, blessings, security and safety, and for its people with pride, prosperity, advancement and development.
His Highness congratulated the players and the administrative and technical bodies for the Al Jazira Club team on achieving the championship of the Arabian Gulf League, praising His Highness the efforts spent by the Al Jazira team members and their continuous work which they crowned by taking this championship.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan wished the Al Jazira team and the rest of the country’s clubs success and good luck in the upcoming local and regional championships, expressing His Highness his thanks to all organisations who sponsor the local competitions and the contribution in developing sports in general in the UAE.
From their side, the players expressed their happiness at meeting His Highness, valuing the support presented by the wise leadership to sports in the country, which had the great role in developing and advancing all sports including football in order to strive always to raise the UAE flag in different championships and sports competitions and achieving honourable accomplishments.
