All matches of the Champions League last 16 round
AC Milan will take on Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League’s Round of 16, while Napoli face Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen meet Barcelona.
The remaining Round of 16 ties are Lyon-APOEL
, Basel-Bayern Munich, CSKA Moscow-Real Madrid, Zenit St. Petersburg-Benfica and Marseille-Inter Milan.
The first legs will unfold in February, with the return matches taking place the following month. The winners of the 2011/12 Champions League will earn a place at the FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2012.
England versus Italy
Milan and Arsenal met in this stage of the competition in 2007/08. On that occasion, following a goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners won 2-0 away to become the first English team to beat I Rossoneri at the San Siro in the Champions League.
Napoli will be the underdogs against Chelsea, but the Italians will be upbeat after beating Premier League leaders Manchester City to second place in Group A. Walter Mazzarri’s men drew 1-1 with Roberto Mancini’s charges on their travels, before edging them 2-1 at the Stadio San Paolo. Edinson Cavani, a reported target for English clubs, scored all three of Napoli’s goals against City.
Barcelona faced German opposition in the 2008/09 quarter-finals and the 2009/10 Round of 16, registering 5-1 aggregate victories over Bayern Munich and Stuttgart respectively (Pep Guardiola’s side drew 1-1 away and won 4-0 at home on both occasions).
