Manchester United players take part in a spinning session in Qatar
Doha - Arabstoday
Manchester United have flown into Qatar for a four-day training session at the Aspire Academy in Doha.
Team manager Sir Alex Ferguson and his squad will be using the session to prepare for their FA
Cup Fourth Round tie against Fulham at Old Trafford on January 26.
United drew 1-1 with Tottenham on Sunday, a draw which cut their lead at the top of the Premier League to just five points. Abu Dhabi-owned Manchester City are in second-place and looking to retain the crown.
United trained at Aspire Academy in 2010 and Ferguson stressed that the success of the initial trip was the reason behind his decision to return to Qatar. He also said that the "excellent" weather in Qatar, compared to the cold of Europe was a key factor.
The Red Devils are hoping the Qatar break will allow players to rest and regain energy for the second half of the season. United face Real Madrid in the Champions League next month, along with key Premier League and FA Cup games.
