Arab Contractors players celebrate their victory
Arab Contractors produced a stunning performance that saw them crush Ismaily 3-1 in Egypt Cup quarter final on Monday.
Nigerian striker Musa Kabiru struck twice in the 28thand 67thminutes
and Alaa Kamal curled an amazing free kick in the 73rdminute to complete the rout and put the 2004 Cup winners in the semi-final. Hosni Abd-Rabou netted a 56thminute penalty kick to score Ismaily’s consolation goal.
The match saw incidents off the pitch as both teams’ fans clashed at the break forcing the security forces to intervene and restore order in the stands.
Earlier in the day, 10-man ENPPI had to fight for more than 120 minutes to beat Ittihad El-Shorta 6-5 on penalties and take their place in Cup semi-finals.
Mozambique defender has been dismissed at the end of 90 minutes on a second booking while the game was still scoreless. His teammates managed to go through the extra-time to win the penalties.
