The fourth matchday of the CAF Champions League Group

The fourth matchday of the CAF Champions League Group Stage game between Tunisian sides Etoile Sahel and Esperance has been abandoned 30 minutes before the end of the game after fans invaded the
pitch.
International Ivorian referee De Normandaz cancelled the match after football fans went on riot in the Sousse Olympic stadium.
The atmosphere was tense as players roughed each other up, while fans threw bottles and stones at coach Nabil Maloul.
Esperance scored two goals in the 40 and 59 minutes. The angry supporters started using fireworks to scare the visiting team.
Fans invaded the pitch and threw bottles and stones on the benches f the Taragie technical system headed by Maloul.
In the 71st minute, Etoile du Sahel fans lost hope of a comeback and so took over the pitch and went into the pitch forcing the referee to leave.
Police were forced to shoot in the air to disperse crowds trying to attack the stadium,
There were no casualties or major injuries reported.
