Peña has spent 6 years at Bolivian club Oriente Petrolero
Bolivian striker Alcides Peña has arrived in Dammam to join Ettifaq FC after signing a contract until the end of the season.
The Ettifaq administration had completed the
signing of the 24-year-old as a free agent, ending his six year stint with Bolivian club Oriente Petrolero.
Peña replaces Brazilian frontman Junior who has been allowed to leave for the Brazilian league. Pena helped his Bolivian team to the league title in 2010 and joined his country's national in the same year. He has since scored one goal in 11 games. He is versatile and can play on the right-wing as well as up-front.
In other Ettifaq news, squad players performed fitness and recovery exercises at a training session on Thursday morning. Polish manager Maciej Skor?a has given his players a long break and they are set to return to training on Saturday evening ahead of a friendly match with the Saudi national team at Dammam's Prince Mohamed Ben Fahd Stadium.
