Algerian footballer Ryad Boudebouz
Algerian footballer Ryad Boudebouz is hours away from signing a contract with French football club Olympique de Marseille.
Marseille seemed eager to receive the talented Algerian, but the price of
the player - evaluated at an eye-popping six million euros became an obstacle for the Southern French club. But the transfer of Spanish defender Cesar Osepelequeta three days ago to Chelsea made the Olympique de Marseille 12 million euros richer.
Similarly, Marseille striker Loic Remi is to be transferred to the Tottenham club for 15 million euros, which is set to solve the financial crisis Marseille has been going through.
Boudebouz said to the press: "I want to live a new experience. Of course I wouldn't be sad if I stayed in Sochaux, but I wish to leave".
Ryad Boudebouz, 22 years old was a precious stone for several great European clubs such as Liverpool, Newcastle, Marseille, Lyon and St Etienne but Marseille seemed more promising for the young footballer.
