Al-Dhafra caused the upset of the Emirates' Etisalat Pro League season on Thursday with a stunning 2-0 away win against al-Shabab.

goals at the Maktoum bin Rashid al-Maktoum Stadium. The win takes al-Dhafra to 21 points, and eighth position in the league. Al-Shabab remains in fifth with 30 points.
Midfielder Bandar gave the visitors the lead in the 39th minute, when he broke through the defence to slot past goalkeeper Salem Abdulla. Al-Dhafra doubled their lead in the 55th minute courtesy of a superb individual goal from al-Hammadi. The midfielder beat three defenders before a clever finish past Abdulla.
Al-Shabab pushed forward to get back into the game, and nearly conceded a third goal. Rodrigo Silva's swerving shot beat the goalkeeper, but came off the crossbar.
In other Pro League developments, Dibba al-Fujairah and al-Jazira shared the spoils in a six-goal thriller at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium. Three minutes later, Brazilian Ricardo Oliviera equalised for the hosts, firing home after Dibba al-Fujairah keeper Mohammed Rowaihy fumbled a cross from Khaled Sabeal.
The creator of the equaliser, Sabeal, then conceded a penalty when he handled the ball in his six-yard box. Ahmed Malallah scored from the spot to make it 1-2, only for al-Jazira's Matías Delgado to peg it back to 2-2 in a pulsating encounter.
Ali scored his second goal of the night in the 65th minute, getting on the end of a shot that bounced off the crossbar. However, al-Jazira were not to be denied and Abdullah Moussa levelled the game at 3-3 with a fabulous bicycle kick in the 69th minute.
