Mr. Nasser Al Attiyah FIM Deputy President & FIA Vice President confirmed in his statement before leaving Doha today Thu. to Spain to attend FIM Endurance world championship 2016 celebration.
He said that Motorsport management is an independent science, so the transparency and trust in line with the permanent communication and mutual respect of all should be the basis of everything, the management should also deal with the fans of the sport in a way better than the current one, the focus should not be only directed to media channels, the fans should have also their share of care, as the fans became nowadays more aware especially in Middle East and North Africa region MENA.
Al Attiyah also stated that the future strategy for MENA was established upon an agreed work plan, throughout the regular meetings held before and still currently held among the federations and clubs of MENA. No doubt that there will be a positive result in the future for the motor sport in the region , especially MENA is living now a flourishing era in motor sport , there are many examples which prove the same, such as : we have received a request from Turkey to join the middle east championship for rallies , also Shiraz rally came back again to the agenda of the championship and the success of Morocco rally – the 8th round of cross country rally 2016- , in addition to the other sport events organized in Middle East and North Africa region MENA . I think we would keep on this progress as long as there is a good cooperation among the federations and clubs of the region.
Al Attiyah stated that the investment in the field of motor sport is guaranteed and achieves a good profit to the media channels, for example, when we find out that the number of viewers of Moto GP has reached more than 1,000,000,000 viewers around the world, in addition to the attendants of the audience in the hosting country, we realize the great economic profit that can be earned, besides the touristic and promotional values for the hosting country.
Al Attiyah concluded saying that “Our ambitions have no limits, unless our region MENA is in the top in motorsport, as the current circumstances are ideal and we have to exploit them in an ideal way”.
