Ahmed Fathy (C) has played 92 games for Egypt
Al-Ahly defender Ahmed Fathy has been offered the chance to join English Championship side Hull City on a six-month loan deal.
The 28-year old right-back has established himself at the Cairo
club, with a string of impressive displays. According to English football website Goal.com, Hull City want to sign the Egypt international until the end of the English football season in May.
Fathy has played in England before, having joined Premier League team Sheffield United in 2007 from Ismaily, for a fee in the region of £700,000. However, he only played three matches for the Blades and returned to Egypt after six-months.
Since 2007, Fathy has made over 107 appearances for Ahly and was named in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) team of the year following Al-Ahly's victory in the 2012 CAF Champions League.
The Egyptian Premier League, postponed after last year's Port Said Stadium disaster, is scheduled to resume on February 2.
