Violent clashes took place, on Thursday, between the Yemeni army and Houthis militants, near the camp of Khaled Ibn Al-Walid, east of Mokha on the western coast of Yemen. According to military sources, the army has made significant progress towards the camp, after fierce battles with the militias. The sources pointed out that the government troops are stationed in Nabtah area west of the camp, confirmed the fall of the number of dead and wounded from the ranks of the militia.
The Arab Coalition's jets launched, on Wednesday, four raids on reinforcements for the Houthis in the northern outskirts of Mokha. The coalition's warships also targeted, with eight missiles, the Houthis sites, according to a military source, leaving 12 killed and 14 injured.
In Shabwa, sources confirmed that two of Houthis' leaders joined the legitimacy forces, after delivering themselves to the command of government forces in Shabwa.
In Salw district, Houthis militants kidnapped a teacher from al-Thawra school, southeastern province of Taiz.
Unidentified people kidnapped a businessperson at Sheikh Ottoman district in the northern side of Aden, leading him to unidentified place. The armed people stormed a number of shops possessed by businessperson Taher Ghaleb in the Yemeni city, kidnapping him to unidentified place. Meanwhile, the same area witnessed the killing of a civilian called Tariq Al Rabash by unidentified people on late Wednesday.
In Aden, Taiz Governor Ali Maamari met, on Thursday, with Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Dugger to discuss the military, security and economic situation in the province and the efforts of the local authority in the province to activate the role of the security services to do its part in stabilizing security in the city as well as the activation of facilities and executive offices to maintain the support of the political leadership and the Council of Ministers.
The Prime Minister emphasized during the meeting on the importance of coming together of all the sons of Taiz province to overcome the challenges and complete the battle to liberate the province from Houthis, praising the heroic roles of its sons in addressing to the coup.
