Qatada is an Islamist preacher who has been described as Osama bin Laden\'s right-hand man in Europe Terror suspect Abu Qatada will be released on bail on Tuesday after he won his appeal against extradition to Jordan. The Special Immigration Appeals Commission, a semi-secret panel of British judges that deals with decisions on national security, granted the Islamist preacher bail despite Britain\'s vow to continue its fight to deport him. They ruled there was a risk of evidence obtained by torture being used against him if he was returned to Jordan. Abu Qatada claimed asylum in Britain in 1993. He has spent most of the last seven years in British jails and has been held in a high-security prison during his fight against deportation.
