President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi urged all Egyptians to intensively take part for voting in the parliamentary elections to implement the last step of the future road map plan approved by all the national powers, calling on them to choose the best MPs for the coming house of representatives.
This came in his address to the nation delivered on Saturday ahead of the start of the first phase of the parliamentary elections.
He called on all categories of the Egyptian people to gather for participation in this national duty for the sake for their country and to make a promising future for their children.
Sisi called on them to realize the gross challenges and risks facing the country, warning against any attempts to damage the achievements made so far for the future of the coming generations.
He also asserted that the free will of the Egyptians and their steadfastness could be a tool for ending oppression and attempts to control the country under fake slogans.
Sisi also thanked Egyptians who united their ranks to show to the whole world their free will to save their country.
Millions of Egyptians who took to the street to counter tyranny and fascism would remain a symbol of "our unity for the sake of our nation", he added.
Sisi highlighted the importance of election of a house of representatives for two main reasons; the first is outlining laws complementary to the constitution articles, and the second is that this parliament will reflect the strong will of the Egyptians before the whole world.
This parliament will be the conscience of the nation and express its hopes and aspirations, he explained.
Sisi urged youths to be at the front of voters in the electioneering process, noting that youths are able to opt for the best interests of the nation with their enthusiasm and ethics.
Sisi said he awaits youths to be the basic motivation for this democratic festivity, calling on Egyptian woman whom he described as "symbol of national action and sacrifice" to go for balloting to give an example of patriotism to the whole family.
He also called on Egyptian expatriates, who are part and parcel of the Egyptian fabric, to head for ballot stations to show the whole world the persistence of Egyptians to practice democracy.
The president also called on armed forces and policemen to take all necessary precautions to provide a safe and stable voting process.
He also asserted the need for working to elevate the position of the nation, complete the building of the state foundations and establish pillars of democracy and social justice.
