The Saudi Arabian air defense intercepted two ballistic missiles fired by Houthis targeting Abha city.
Houthi channel claimed that one of them targeted the city's regional airport and hit its target.
"Saudi air defense intercepted two ballistic missiles launched by Houthis towards the city of Abha, in Asir province, on the southern border of the kingdom with Yemen," Saudi official news channel said.
The commander of the Arab coalition said in a statement that the air defence destroyed the base, from which the two missiles were launched aimed at the Saudi Arabian region of Khemies.
Houthis Mosira channel asid that the missiles were in response to the air attack, which was carried out by coalition fighter jets at the Directorate of Arhab in Sana'a, where air strikes targeted a funeral today for women, killing six women.
The Arab coalition in March 2015 began a military offensive against the Houthis, in support of Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.
