Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf
Sahrawi Revolutionary Youth have written, in bold, the word “Leave” in roads leading to the Polisario Front building. The Youth are demanding the removal of Mohamed Abdel-Aziz, the Secretary-General of the
Front in response to the policy adopted by the Polisario that marginalizes of the demands of young people seeking change. Abdul-Aziz is seen as an obstacle to any negotiation progress on the fate of Western Sahara, as his presence hinders the ending of suffering of the Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf, Algeria. Rebels denounce the results of the Polisario’s thirteenth Conference that re-elected him as Secretary-General.
Sources within the camps have stated that the Front Leader has taken new, private and non-paved roads, to get to the Front building, in order to avoid passing on the main roads, until the removal of the writings.
This escalation, by Sahrawi Revolution Youth, is the first this year, and not to be the last. Sahrawi’s are to continue their struggle against a tyrant dominating the territory’s future, according to the young rebels.
