Ousted president Mubarak
Cairo – Akram Ali

Ousted president Mubarak Cairo – Akram Ali Cairo’s Criminal Court, headed by Judge Ahmed Refaat adjourned ousted president Mubarak’s trial until till Thursday in order to hear the rest of the prosecutor’s argument. According to eyewitnesses inside the court, civil rights plaintiffs applauded the general attorney Mostafa Suleiman as soon as he finished with his argument. Meanwhile, general prosecution asked to complete the session tomorrow in order to present all evidence.
Following Wednesday's session, Mubarak was transferred to a special plane to return to the World Medical Center, while security forces transferred the rest of the suspects to Tora Prison.
Meanwhile, the defense lawyers for Mubarak and el-Adli threatened to collect signatures and to withdraw from trial, on account of the lack of response of Judge Ahmed Refaat to their demands concerning the shooting of the sessions and hearing the witnesses, as well as summoning General Sami Anan, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, to hear his testimony.
General attorney and prosecutors representative Mostafa Suleiman said “Interior and National Security did not help in providing support and information to the prosecution in the case,” stressing that general prosecution investigated and gathered information and evidence with almost no help on the part of the security.
He stated, during the trial, that prosecution started last February, under the lawlessness and lack of information, and addressed the Interior Ministry to have access to information on the case, however in vain, as many officials refrained from providing any necessary information, which led them to resort to National Security for investigation, who also responded saying that they have no information on the case.
Judge Refaat replied to the prosecutor’s argument, asking if they believe that the Ministry of Interior and the National Security intentionally withheld information, to which Suleiman stated that he personally believes that their cooperation fell short, however, on the official level, an investigation must be conducted to be sure of whether they intentionally withheld information.
Prosecution also provided evidence and witnesses which confirm that the suspects incited and participated in the crimes they of which they are charged, even if indirectly by providing support and arms to those who have killed peaceful protesters.
