The Israeli aircraft fired missiles in al-Karama, Gaza
Gaza – Mohammed Habib
Palestinian medical officials on Monday said several civilians were injured in an Israeli raid in al-Karama, west of Gaza. This raises the death toll to 9 civilians and 14 wounded, officials said.
Sources said the civilians were injured with missile shrapnel fired
from an Israeli military aircraft.
Eye witness reports said the military aircraft F-16 targeted a house that was under construction and the house was completely destroyed.
Ambulances and civil defence crews rushed to the scene and no casualties were reported.
The war aircraft also targeted an abandoned space next to an automobile showroom.
Sources said the missiles aimed to destroy underground bunkers.
The aircraft also targeted a military wing of Hamas in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip. The bombing led to the destruction of the site and the death of one civilian, Bassam al-Fara.
Another missile also destroyed al-Qassam brigades in Beit Hanoun.
Israeli radio stations broadcasted a statement by officials saying: “All targets were hit and our planes have returned safely to their bases.”
