Iraqi fighters jets raided the military sites of ISIS in a number of areas close to the Iraqi city of Mousl, as leader of federal police Raed Shawkat stressed his forces' readiness to start operation to restore the rest of Mousl from the grip of the extremist group.
According to a statement from Iraq's Defense Ministry, the air forces executed successful raids against military sites related to ISIS destroying laboratories to make explosives Talaffar district. It added that they also managed to destroy a store of weapons.
The air force also targeted a headquarters of the group's senior leaders as they found tombs for the people executed by the group in Anbar province.
On the other hand, American security officials expressed their concern over the White House's intention to list the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist group, saying that such a step poses serious threat against the American forces existed in Iraq.
They stressed that such a step could challenge the current war on ISIS. They also revealed that the international coaltion executed 29 raids against the strongholds of the group in both Syria and Iraq during the recent 24 hours.
