The UAE Red Crescent launched the second phase of relief convoys in Shabwa province and its villages, where more than 80 thousand people are suffering from the deterioration of the humanitarian situation. This phase aims to the aid of 10 thousand families, and to provide the basic needs of food to the population in the center of the directorate.
The UAE Red Crescent officials stressed they will continue their relief and humanitarian's efforts for the benefit of residents of Shabwa province, until the end of the crisis, especially in Mayfa'a district, where dozens of refugees from Africa countries flock to there, in addition to its location between areas controlled by the coup's leaders, and regions where elements of Al Qaeda exist.
The Head of Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) team in Yemen, Abdullah Al Musafri, said that the second phase of distributing the relief materials to the people of Mayfa'a district, in the province of Shabwa, comes within the framework of humanitarian support from the United Arab Emirates for the regions of Yemen affected by the crisis, praising the efforts of the team to deliver the aid to those in need.
The representative of the local authority in Mayfa'a district, and its Director General, Abdullah Ateq, expressed his thanks to the Arab Coalition supporting the legitimacy in Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, and ERC, because their continuous support to alleviate the suffering of the people of Shabwa, saying that this support came at the right time. The sons of Mayfa'a district expressed their gratitude and gratitude to the UAE, the leadership, government and its people for their efforts to help the Yemeni people.
ERC, has signed an agreement for the revamp and maintenance of Be'r Ali School in Shabwah Governorate, Yemen, which includes revamping the building, making provision for interior equipment, and other requirements to receive students.
The agreement is in line with the sustained Emirati support for the people in Yemen, especially in revamping the infrastructure and service institutions in Yemen to bring life back to normalcy for the Yemenis.
Al Musafri, Head of the ERC team, said the project was in line with the permanent support provided by the UAE and the ERC for the people of Yemen to ease the situation being witnessed in the country.
