Anti-government groups say Egyptians have been neglected
Cairo - Akram Ali

Anti-government groups say Egyptians have been neglected Two Egyptian groups have called for a fresh bout of anti-government protests across the country. Save the Revolution alliance and Second Rage movement have announced plans to hold the ruling Muslim Brotherhood regime to account, by marching in Egyptian governorates.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Save The Revolution urged civil disobedience and protests on Friday and Saturday in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Gharbya and Sharqia, against poor economic and political conditions.
The group said it wants to build on the recent riots in Port Said, describing the disobedience as an \"unprecedented act since 1919 revolution.\"
The alliance claimed that several security officials and Interior Ministry police officers will take part in the activities.
Abu-Malh, a member of the alliance, said that Egyptians will rise against the \"poor living conditions\" under the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Mohamed Hanafy, part of Save the Revolution executive committee said: \"President Mohammed Morsi and his group have managed to split the Egyptian people and divide society for the first time in Egypt\'s history.\"
Hanafy explained that participants involved in Friday\'s rallies will carry empty cooking utensils to highlight their plight.
In a related development, Egypt\'s Second Rage movement announced it wants to escalate protests in Cairo and Giza from next Sunday. Protesters have been urged to gather in Talaat Harb Square in Cairo, and in front of Giza governorate headquarters. The movement said an escalation in demonstrations would lead to civil disobedience and a general strike.
In a statement, Second Rage members said the decision to protest was made because of the president\'s refusal to acknowledge the poor living conditions, and neglect of the public due to \"personal, partisan and sectarian interests.\"
President Morsi recently submitted a draft to the Shura Council for a 450 million Egyptian pounds ($67m) development in Suez, in a bid to create create jobs and improve living standards.
