Tripartite committee is scheduled to be formed by Russia, Iran and Turkey to monitor any violations against the cease fire agreement, according to the final statement issued by Astana meeting on Tuesday.
The Syrian opposition expressed its refusal to the statement, stressing that the Iranian delegation performed a major role to undermine the efforts aiming to consolidate the ceasefire. The Syrian opposition stressed the need for lifting the siege imposed on a number of Syrian cities controlled by the opposition, saying that the main reference adopted by the opposition is the principle of "Geneva 1"
On the other hand, Head of Syrian regime delegation Bashar Al Jaffary praised Astana meeting, saying that it succeeded to consolidate the ceasefire. He praised the efforts exerted by Russia and Iran during the meeting.
