Americans should avoid traveling to three areas in Sudan and to exercise caution in the rest of the country, according to an advisory issued by the US Department of State on Thursday.
ِِِِِِAccording to Sputnik News, the advisory cited suicide operations, bombings, shootings and kidnappings as terrorist threats, and it also warned against ordinary crimes such as armed robberies, home invasions and carjackings.
"Terrorist groups remain present in Sudan and are intent on harming Westerners and Western interests," the advisory said.
Sudan’s Darfur region and the Sudanese states of Blue Nile and Southern Kordofan are areas of particular concern, according to the advisory.
The advisory urged all Americans to have evacuation plans that can be carried out quickly, without help from the US government.
