UAE flights started operating to Baghdad once again following a four-week suspension after a Flydubai jet was hit by gunfire in the Iraqi capital.
A UAE flight arrived Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Iraq airport and landed smoothly, the airport administration said in a statement.
Last month, the Flydubai flight was hit by gunfire as it was preparing to land at the airport.
Flydubai, Emirates airlines, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad and Sharjah’s Air Arabia had halted flights to Baghdad, following the incident.
