An international conference on tourism security will be held in the north-western Russian city of St. Petersburg on Monday, Russia’s Federal Tourism Agency (Rosturizm) said. The forum is designed to work out comprehensive tourism security measures in Russia as well as discuss drafts of regulatory legal acts, consider urgent issues of state policy and ensuring security for tourist destinations, as well as protecting the rights and legal interests of tourists abroad. Representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and other organizations will attend the event.
