Tourism inflow to Egypt has increased over the past few months in an unprecedented way hitting 300 percent, said Egyptian Minister of Tourism Hisham Zazou on Wednesday.
In his speech at the inaugural session of the Executive Office of the Arab Tourist Ministerial Council in its 15th meeting at the Cairo-based Arab League premises, he added that this attests to the fact that the Egyptian tourism sector is capable of standing up to challenges.
The council's goals include increasing tourism in the Arab countries to enhance the tourist contribution to comprehensive economic and sustainable development in the region.
Attending the ceremony were AL chief Nabil el-Arabi and participating delegations from Oman, Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Iraq, Qatar and Somalia
