Bangkok - Arabstoday

Citibank and Thai Airways International launched, Friday, a co-branded Citibank Royal Orchid Plus Preferred targeting wealthy customers. Initially, the card will be distributed by invitation only to customers who spend around Bt1 million a year with the credit card company. “There are now about 40,000 Citibank-THAI co-branded cards already issued so we believe 10% to 15% will switch to the new premium card,” said Citibank Thailand, head of credit payment products, Tearavath Trirutdilokkul. The co-branded cards between the two companies started in 2006. Privileges on the new card: • Mileage: Earn 1 mile for every Bt20 spent and gain a 20,000 miles bonus if spend  Bt1 million within a year and renewal of the card for the following year; • Travel privileges: Roundtrip airport transfer by limousine, twice a year; meet and assist service at Suvarnabhumi Airport, twice a year; Royal Silk Lounge access, twice a year; three times points when buying THAI’s tickets through Citibank Travel Service; travel insurance with Bt25 million cover; • Fast track to ROP Gold Status after spending Bt1 million plus 22,000 mileage point in a year or a spend of Bt1 million plus travel internationally with THAI, 15 sectors in a year. From now until 30 November, cardholders who qualify as the top four spenders will receive: roundtrip business class ticket to Paris for the top two and business tickets to Tokyo for third and fourth placed card holders.
