The Sea Bird Sanctuary of the Seychelles aptly called Bird Island has been recognized by Trip Advisor and they have accordingly been awarded a Certificate of Excellence. It was Mr Serge Robert, the Manager of Bird Island who has called on the Tourism Board of Seychelles to show Bird Island\'s latest recognition certificate. Trip Advisor remains the largest and most respected social network specializing on travel and tourism. They have managed to become the reference site for would be travelers and for travel agents when looking for more information of hotels in distant lands before recommending the property to their discerning clients. The Tourism Board of Seychelles is one of many such National Authorities to constantly monitor the comments posted about hotel properties and tourism services in Seychelles. When explanations are merited they do write to provide clarifications on posted comments. The Seychelles Tourism Board\'s CEO, Mrs Elsia Grandcourt recently issued an invitation to Trip Advisor to consider joining a session at the island\'s Annual Marketing Meeting set for early December. Bird Island is not only one of the world\'s top eco-holiday destinations, but as its name suggests, it is also a successful wildlife reserve. Situated in the Indian Ocean in the most northerly archipelago of the Seychelles, it has over five kilometers of the finest white sandy beaches. It is, in short, a paradise island, where visitors can appreciate the conservation of wildlife in the most beautiful, tranquil setting and escape the hassles and chaos of ordinary life! Guy Savy bought Bird Island in 1967 and cleared vital nesting sites for the Sooty Terns, enabling the 16,000 pairs to grow to 750,000 pairs. The birds begin to gather in the sky in March, start to land towards the end of May and laying begins in June. The last of the juveniles fledge by the end of October. The BBC Wildlife Magazine places Bird Island as No:7 in World\'s top 10 eco-destinations. Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism & Culture has said the Guy Savy and his Team at Bird Island needed to be congratulated for receiving the \'Certificate of Excellence\' from TripAdvisor. \"It is always a pleasure to see our properties do well, not amongst ourselves only, but being recognized across the world for being true assets for the country. Bird Island is today helping spread the name Seychelles as a tourism destination with a difference and one that we can safely promote as part of the good, and for this we need to say Thank you Guy Savy, and Thank You Bird Island\" Minister St.Ange said.
