The Russian Transport Ministry plans to send another group of airport safety experts to Egypt shortly with the aim of restoring flights between the countries, Sputnik quoted Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov as saying Wednesday.
"We will go [to Egypt] with another inspection in the near future. We are working on this together with the Egyptian counterparts," Sokolov told reporters.
Russia suspended all flights to and from Egypt last fall after a Russian A321 plane crashed in the Sinai desert on October 31 while flying from the resort city of Sharm el Sheikh to St. Petersburg.
