A Royal Jordanian Boeing 787 Dreamliner, bound for Amman, has been diverted to Heathrow Airport, to "address minor technical issue" in one of the aircraft's engines.
RJ Assistant Executive Director for Media Affairs, Basel Kilani, said the captain of the 787 airliner, which was en route from Chicago to Amman, decided, as a precautionary measure, to land at Heathrow Airport to check "the technical readings of one of the plane's engines".
He added that the issue was addressed in a short time and the aircraft took off again to Amman following a 3-hour delay caused by heavy traffic at the airport.
