A $16 million renovation project has been completed at the 394-room Sheraton Kauai Resort. Upgrades included extensive refurbishment to the Poipu property’s porte-cochere and lobby area along with the addition of an open-air courtyard, a Link@Sheraton Cafe, and two new full service restaurants, Rum Fire and Luana Kai. Now spanning multiple levels, one of the hotel’s two pools was also renovated and features eight new private cabanas equipped with ceiling fans and flat-screen TVs. “We are very excited and proud to introduce an extraordinary new playground to Poipu Beach where our guests can enjoy a multitude of great ocean activities, plunge into our spectacular new pool as well as dine, relax or connect throughout the hotel’s contemporary facilities,” Chip Bahouth, general manager of the Sheraton Kauai Resort, said in a statement.
